A: Pours an opaque extremely dark purplish black in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate very dark purple + very dark garnet red highlights. The beer has a two finger tall fizzy foamy purplish/pinkish tan head that reduces to a medium sized patch of very thin film covering a little more than 35% of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Minimal amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Just shy of moderate aromas of slightly tart, slightly sweet dark fruits (blueberry, blackberry, and black currants) over the top of light aromas of roasted + slightly sour wheat malts + lemon citrus lactic tartness and a hint of brininess.
T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of roasted + slightly sour wheat malts with minimal amounts of sweetness and a light flavors of lemon citrus lactic tartness as well as a hint of brininess. That is followed by slightly stronger than moderate flavors of slightly tart, slightly sweet dark fruits (blueberry, blackberry, and black currants). Light to moderate amounts of lingering tartness.
M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Light to moderate amounts of acidic prickliness.
O: Drinks pretty easily with well hidden alcohol and enough tartness but not overpowering sourness. Very interesting and enjoyable with the contrast of the roasted malts with the more traditional gose flavors + aromas.
