Taster at Boise location. This IPA comes in at the lighter end of the spectrum. Light on the hops, light citric notes. Almost seems sessionable, despite the 6% ABV. Pale gold with small bubbly head.

on tap at the boise location, and definitely the better of the two hoppy beers i had in here. clear golden from the tap, a lasting inch of white foam on it, and a high shine. the name gives it away, citra and mosaic, mostly late kettle and dry hopped from the nose, more mosaic than citra to me, but both are real obvious in this. meyer lemon, orange peel, and canned pineapple notes, a hint of that cat pee mosaic thing i sometimes get, but clean enough there in the taste. the beer is simple on the grain side too, just a pale barley base, not a whole lot going on with it, and there doesnt really need to be, i kind of miss the days of more straightforward hoppy beer, this is almost a throwback in that sense. i wish the fermentation was a little cleaner, there is a slight astringency and metallic coppery taste to this that really doesnt belong. its not bad when its first poured, but as it warms up a little it comes out more and more and kind of ruins the finish where the hops should be climaxing. its not uncommon, and it certainly doesnt make this a throw away, the hops are still awesome, and the beer is still light and easy, its just not as expertly done as i hoped it would be. better than their brut in here, and likely to improve in future batches...
