Draft at White Dog Boise. Hazy golden pour, Skin of white head. Very light pineapple aroma. Aroma is malty, light citrusy notes, mild malty presence. Not a lot of pineapple

cool new one from white dog, the first new one i have seen or had from them in ages, and quite frankly one of their best beers to date for my money, it must be done with real pineapple, the hops are well selected to compliment the fruit, its hazy but not messy, and i think overall this is real good for summer, better than so many others trying to do similar things, they should feel real good about this one. cloudy yellowish tone to this, pale enough, not super dense, and under a frothing white head with nice peaks and retention. the aroma on this is cool, a little sweet from the pineapple but also a little acidic too, which suggests natural fruit, also the hops highlight it well, lemon meringue type notes suggesting maybe citra, a lightly catty mosaic thing that also brings some pineapple juice from the can to the mix, and maybe a light gin botanical note, not over hopped at all, clean on the ferment, and dry on the grain side. the flavor agrees, dry for being fruited, lightly wheaty but not a ton of malt flavor despite the creamy fuller texture, and with a great hop profile thats perfectly suited to the pineapple. this is juicy and tangy both, no real residual sweetness, super high authenticity, low bitterness, tidy for being hazy like this, smooth mouthfeel, delicious aftertaste. love the interaction of the pineapple and these hops specifically, really well conceived and executed, hopefully a sign of new potential here, the beer has been decidedly lackluster for some time now...
