A - Bright, clear copper body, with a fluffy off-white head, lots of thick, ropey lacing.
S - Strongest note is pithy, medicinal hops, with a touch of lemon, tea, and earthiness below.
T - Follows that nose, with pungent sharpness in the open, pith and pine over caramel malt notes, and a punishing bitter bite to the finish.
M - Moderate weight, decent carbonation, and sharp dryness and resin that builds.
O - This is a pretty traditional IIPA, with lots of bitterness. The medicinal quality works to an extent, particularly with the full maltiness that it joins. But something seems not quite dialed-in, as if there are some minor adjustments left to produce a final, balanced attack.
