Crisp, smooth, refreshing, golden, light and somehow still packed with delicious flavor, this Bavarian inspired helles lager isn’t your typical big brand lager. Dedicated to the history of logging in Oregon and on the coast and perfect for a day soaking up the rare but delicious sun we sometimes get when the clouds break, the Logger is just about the definition of crushable.

Pint at the brewery. Lincoln City.
$6.00.
Nice clear gold color. Small white head. But leaves clingy lace.
Aroma of light toasted malt and some grassy hops.
Taste balanced but quite bright and tasty.
Nice enough mouth feel for the style.
Went down real good.

this is a ripper, kind of what i was hoping their blonde ale would be, but they won me over with this one, crisper and brighter, some light hoppiness in the finish, nice flavor from the lager yeast but the whole thing wraps up quickly, and overall i thought this was nice for high summer. nothing earth shattering, and a little light on flavor maybe compared to the best of them, especially on the grain side where this one is really minimal, but i like the noble type hop profile this closes with, its obvious european lager yeast, and the briskness of the mouthfeel, its bubbly and dry, light bodied, and properly refreshing. great clarity on it too, this is obviously real well refined. slightly crackery, good minerality, grassy and pine notes late, just enough bitterness. this is pretty much beer flavored beer and should be agreeable to anyone who likes such things, which is all of us right?! i had a great time at this little brewery and was impressed with how much beer they seem to be making on such a small system, cool to even have a lager in the mix at all given their production constraints, and this seems real patiently done. very enjoyable.
