Few things can rival a sunset on the Oregon Coast and our favorite way to take it in is with a raging fire in the sand and a cold pint in hand. This ale is dedicated to that moment. Malty, caramel notes pair with just the right amount of hoppiness create an exceptionally balanced and quaffable taste. Brewed for your favorite coastal moments.

Pint at the brewery.
Really beautiful looking beer. A nice dark honey amber. Small light tan head
Smell is of caramel and slight pine hops. .
Taste..same but with a slight hop profile in the end.
Very drinkable. Soft almost cask style carbonation.
A nice beer for the Coast.

This brewery in the Salishan Mall in Lincoln city Oregon makes some great beer. This was the second beer from this brewery and I was impressed. This dark brew shows a dark color with a cedar pineapple rind Carmel apple and deacon radish flavor all mixed into a big bold really great brew. This is a excellent red brew with a low hop bite but a big bold body that will bring a smile to most IPA drinkers.

Look: Ruby-red with a foamy tan head that recedes to leave nice lacing behind

Aroma: Pine sap, citrus fruit, red apple skins, warm bread, caramel, toasted bread, and toffee

Taste: Opens up with a rush of orange, limes, and grapefruit that are quickly joined by pine sap and needles. Caramel and toffee go back and forth with the citrus/conifer through the middle and closes with a nice piney and citrusy bite

Mouthfeel: Full, smooth, clean, medium-high carbonation, and clean and smooth on the finish

Overall: Good stuff here. This is a really tasty and well-made Red Ale that caught by eye at the brewery and a 4-pack left with me. Pine, citrus, caramel, toffee, clean feel, and a light bite – what’s not to like. Recommended

maybe the best of the three beers i had while visiting this time, up there with the chocolate coconut stout anyway, but these guys have seemed to grow up a little bit in quality and all of them were good, although ive always enjoyed the place. this is a great red, like impressively good in a style that rarely moves me. this has great balance with more hops than is common in the style, its hearty without being sweet, and it has a sort of timeless northwestern character about it, very well done. deeper in color, mahogany, even brown in low light and maybe faintly cloudy, short but creamy tan head from the tap, some body and heft as these go, no complaints, i like a red with some meat on the bone. nose is toasted deeply, uniquely grain forward, baked, autumnal, chestnut, bran, toffee, and then some woodsy northwestern hops, not crazy bitter, but this isnt just an amber. the flavor agrees, nice hoppy back end on this with a pine layer, modest bitterness set against the prominent malt, i swear i get a little cocoa powder and even a black tea note in this, far more complex than i am used to in the style. slightly yeasty and maybe a half step less refined than it could be, but i think the boldness of the recipe makes it good anyway, warming and even in high summer has me excited for the fall, which is neat power for a beer to possess. these guys have a good thing going, its a fun hang, the beers are diverse and inspired and i was real pleased with this.

draught
Thick and cream, tan head. Medium dark chestnut look. Slightly sweet, spiced caramel and medium dark toasted malt, for the aroma. Balanced, caramelized malt and a touch of woodiness, for the taste.
