I believe the name is beach "hut" not "hunt"... in fact i am sure of it. a tropical ipa, and a good one, although it almost seems like it has to be fruited. neat hop mix, perhaps a few versions of this have existed, but its modern, juicy, and very well refined, glass shine and clear golden, quite pretty under a near inch of white head at the brewery fresh from the tap. bigtime mango, papaya, and mixed citrus in the nose, minimal grain, a thiol forward hop complexion that almost hits estery to me, ripe stone fruit too, grapefruit later, perhaps some new fangled yeast at play, its practically leaping out of the glass. the flavor presents as a touch sweet to me at first because of how fruit forward and minimally bitter this is, but its really not got a lot of residual sugar in it, and i get used to the mouthfeel rather quickly. apricot and peach nectar, new zealand white wine, is there phantasm or something here? its not quite that intense and up front, but its not way off, key lime and juicy orange, very low bitterness for an ipa that isnt hazy, simple pale barley at the core of this is fresh and supportive in terms of texture, but is not a big factor in the taste, even as it warms. oily a bit on the palate, slightly weedy but in that new school fruity sativa sense, and its refreshing as long as its cold. neat beer, lots and lots of character from this mix of hops, and very agreeable, probably even for non ipa people, nothing aggressive or brutish about it, summery and breezy, light in body too. there was a noticeable improvement in their beer this summer compared to the last few years, cool to see!

Pint at Westside Taphouse in West Salem OR.
$7.00.
Pours a clear golden colour. Small lacey white head.
Lovely floral and citrus hop aromas. Mostly floral which is cool.
Taste similar to the aroma.. Quite hoppy but very well balanced.
Nice smooth medium mouth feel.
A really cool IPA.
