their hazy beers here are excellent, improved even over last year when we first visited, and this was my favorite of them this time through, juicy and bold but also super drinkable, not too dense and hazy looking, still soft and pale and approachable, no milky sediment or anything, and a nice inch of white head on top from the tap. the nose is strikingly fruity, tropical to me, ripe melon and kiwi fruit and sweet orange and peaches, summery and sexy, no greenness or bite at all, simple dry cereal base underneath, smells insanely fresh too, wow. the flavor is just as good, more citrus than tropical here though, pungent tangerine and clementine and kumquat, maybe a hint of coconut flesh too making it still feel like vacation, just less of the melon and kiwi. lightly floral too, simple on the grain side which makes sense, and not too much body, the malt stays light even with the haze. the ferment is clean, there is nothing green here, no taste of pellets, and some juicy stone fruit to finish, off dry but the yeast has no flavor at all. great carbonation makes this almost refreshing for the style, and this is one of the few of these that actually does stay in the pale ale range. overall really impressive, i love the hop profile and the quality on the whole, really good beer, a standout.

Pint at Westside Taphouse in West Salem OR.
$7.00
Pours a pale hazy yellow.Small pure white head.
Nice floral hop aromas..maybe a bit of peach. Even some pine. Good.
Taste pretty much the same as the aroma. But a really nice cutting bitterness in the end
Good mouth feel. Nicely carbonated. Goes down easy.
Quite a tasty one for 5.5 %
