Lingering, dark tan head, in the creamy vein. Absolutely dark brown, with no trace of light, through or around the glass. Subtle, dark roasted grains, and a hint of caramel, for the aroma. Smooth and rich, very dark roasted malt and grains, a little sweetness up front, with a little dark chocolate and caramel edge, to the taste. This is a really fine example of a stout that rests between Irish dry and barrel aged imperial.
