Served in knock-off spielgau pint. Poured a lightly cloudy medium gold color with1/3 inch of white head that had moderate retention and no lacing.
The aroma had a light grain/malt base, just a touch of the expected yeast spiciness, and a touch of lightly floral hops. Fairly typical.
Same on the tongue, with the yeast being a bit brighter.
The body was on the light side of medium for the style and had a medium finish.
Drinkability was good, nicely enjoyable, but not screaming for a second pour immediately.
Overall, a fairly average take on the style. Not bad for a brewery's first try at a Belgian style. Worth a shot if you see it.
