Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with a two fingre white head with good retention and lacing; active carbonation. Aroma of pale malt, citrus and tropical fruit hops, orange, grapefruit and a hint of pine. Flavor follows, with pale malt, citrus, tropical fruit and lightly dank hops, grapefruit, light mixed tropical fruit, lemon and a some dankness in the finish. Nicely bitter finish with lots of citrus rind. Medium bodied with light creaminess. A solid, well bittered IPA with mostly citrus character in the hops, but also tropical fruit and dankness; a touch of pine. The hop character is kind of busy, possibly due to Mosaic hops, but interesting and herbal. A little bit of funk that is reminiscent of saison yeast, but certainly from the hops. Refreshing.
