Street side location with windows and a garage door along the full street side, which lets in lots of natural light. Street parking plus an alley lot on the west side. Small sidewalk patio. Interior is not very deep. Two bars, one on the east side and another on the south side. Ordering station between the two. Metal stools. Other seating at low and high tables, plus some cushioned seating against the west wall. High ceiling and walls are painted pastel blue, with a concrete floor. Twelve or so taps. Inventive for styles. Cooler has cans to go. Happy to serve staff. TVs on the west and east walls. Good sound system playing rock standards. Not much for decor and design, but interesting and inspired brews.

Hashtag brewed by a girl, Servaes Brewing is the first and only Kansas City brewery owned and operated by a female head brewer, Courtney Servaes, pronounced "service." The beers tend toward a dessert beer style, but Courtney is always brewing something genre-bending.

Small space opening up to Johnson Drive. With tall front windows and a shallow depth, the space stays lit by natural light well. Seating is a mix of different types, with high and low tops and half booths. Bar is short, adding 8 seats to the capacity at max. Tap list is displayed on a TV screen above a clean bar adorned with stainless steel, walnut-colored hardwood and color pops. Service is good, with their system equipped to handle their large anniversary party crowd. Selection is diverse, to put it simply. Their first year open they released well over 100 beers. The beers all seem to be more experimental in nature, with things like Cinnamon Toast and Candy Corn, but this diversity and out-of-the-box thinking has earned them a large fan-base. Larger then they can supply. Worth a visit for those seeking less-than-traditional beers or a very diverse selection. Kid friendly. Not dog friendly. No patio.
