A darker version of our Southern Heaven Hefeweizen, the Dunkel Weisse has a complex malt taste with light bitterness. A creamy and full-body beer with amber-brown color and banana/clove notes.

Appearance: Mahogany brown, off-white mousse-like head with good retention.

Aroma: Banana like esters. Malty bread.

Flavor: Banana and clove. Spicy. Mild dark malt notes. Restrained bitterness.

Mouth-feel: Medium body, creamy. Very smooth.

Overall: Excellent, well crafted Dunkel Weisse. Unique enough to interest seasoned beer drinkers and approachable enough for drinkers exploring new styles. Currently only at the brewery. One of the best around and worth the trip. I highly recommend this as a must try if you visit the brewery. Especially if you are new to this style of beer.
