On tonight’s menu, we have my first official review of the local Twelve Guns out of Bristol RI, a brewery I frequently went to throughout the last 2 years of college but never sat down with one of their beers. This is an interesting combination of fruits for a weisse, so I’m excited to see what this one is all about
Pours a hazy yellow gold with 2 fingers of white head that quickly fades to a thin ring and leaves minimal lacing
The tangerine is definitely the strongest in the nose here, but not in the typical juicy way it usually appears in beer, but rather very sharp and tart. I’m picking up on aromas of tart tangerine, wheat bread, coriander, orange peel, and light cherry
This has an interesting journey of flavor, starting off puckering and ending a but sweeter, all the while staying crisp. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting sour cherry, tart lemon, tangerine, crackery malt, and tart tangerine. The swallow brings notes of lemon sorbet, orange peel, wheat, and a touch of general spice
A light medium body pairs with moderate tingling carbonation, resulting in a crisp and tart beer. Finishes sightly sticky with a light tartness to hold up the sweeter fruit
This is quite good for a fruited weisse. Despite my multiple visits there, this is my first of the series, and I think I’ll have to try more of them now

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
