A 13-oz. pour from the brewery displays a light beige head, below average retention and sliding spots of lace. A light haze to a reddish iced tea color with orange-amber highlights.

Smells of bright herbal hops, caramel malt, faint citrus, canned pears and toasted bread.

The taste has added lightly toasted malt plus a piney/resin hop bite with apple cider and grape. Semi-dry and moderately bitter from spice and hops. The finish is dryer as spice and hops build to a quick ending. A mild pepper/spice aftertaste lingers a short while.

Medium light body, above average and soft reserved carbonation. Almost smooth, alcohol is well hidden. Hop flavor becomes complex as bitterness is balanced by abundant malt.
