A stern pour was needed to reach a finger of fizzy and soapy (lg & sm bubbles) white foam with short retention and sliding spots of lace. Yellow straw color, very hazy, almost cloudy.
Moderate smell of citrus and piney hops. Citrus juice, cracker and bready malt in the background with faint alcohol.
Neutral on sweetness with average bitterness at first, pepper, grass and spice are added to the hop profile. Toasted whole grain bread and wheat bread are added to the malt bill. Juicy at first, the taste quickly bitters and dries. Finishes quick and semi-dry with bitterness building to full and lingering on the palate with a mild astringency.
Medium-light body, average carbonation held in reserve lasts throughout. The malt softens the spice and bitterness, its still very bitter. Brewery fresh, boldly flavored and almost session-able.
