A moderate pour from a 32-oz. groweler yielded a finger of pure white soapy foam with average retention and small spots of lace. Very hazy (?) borderline cloudy yellow straw color.
Fresh baked bread, cracker and biscuit dominate the smell. Hops have a light yet noticeable herbal presents. Alohol is faint with some spice way in the background.
Semi-sweet with average bitterness. Items from the smell are matched during the taste. Ale-like flavors from unattenuated yeast are citrus fruity and grainy. Bitterness and the malt flavor rise as it dries to neutral at the long finish. Spice and rich malt linger a while.
Medium body (big for the style) with lasting carbonation, smooth and soft on the palate. This brewery makes some really nice Ales, except for a Porter its all Ale styles. They missed on this Lager. Too cloudy, not very well attenuated and well...it drinks like a Blonde Ale.
Can't give this one high style points, however it's an enjoyable drink...to an Ale fan like me.
