A light pour from a 32-oz. "Piglet" yields a finger of off-white creamy foam with long retention and rings of lacing.
Very cloudy, I can only see shadows through it. Yellow straw color, shows orange-gold in bright light.
Wet bread and a blend of hops greets the nose. Citrus juice, toast and crackers in the background. Some grass and grain join the ride to the taste.
Semi-sweet, bitterness begins moderate then creeps up to above average. Juicy; general citrus, apple, pear and orange marmalade try for sweetness. Malt flavor is mild, averaged out by the juice. The hops are spicy/peppery, herbal with a lot of citrus. Flavors drop off slowly during the finish as the spicy/peppery hop bitterness lingers a while.
Medium light body, plenty of carbonation. Soft on the feel, nice balance of juicy sweetness against drier malt and bitterness. Alcohol is very well hidden, makes this Beer deceptively drinkable.
