An 8-oz. pour at the brewery into a Weizen glass. A thin eggshell-white soapy head above a hazy yellow-straw body. I can barely see my fingers, no lacing, just a few spots. The head can be swirled back up but has short retention.
Wheat bread and cracker greets the nose with mild herbal hops, a hint of lemon and toasted wheat in the background.
Semi-dry with low bitterness, lightly flavored per style. Pilsner-like wheat leads the way with lemon and herbs matching the smell. Missing is the traditional white wine flavor and a crisp finish. The finish is soft and Blonde Ale like.
Light bodied with lower-than-average carbonation. Smooth and easy drinking. Alcohol is well hidden.
