Pours a black color with a big bubble khaki colored head. Good retention.
The aroma is of roasted barley, some bakers and milk chocolate. A bit of iron and/or other metallic notes. Caramel.
Nice roast flavor. Charred wood, ash. Straight up Russian Imperial Stout notes. Hint of scorched caramel in the end.
The feel is rather thin for a stout, tingly carbonation . Reminds me of a schwarzbier. Dry in the finish, slightly chalky.
Use a lager yeast, call it a Schwarzbier and you have a winner. Not very stout like in the body.
