Pours a bright yet hazy golden color, almost yellow, with an airy white head that quickly settled into a light cap with a small wall of lacing. Looks a little thin for a hefe.
I get light aromas of banana and something slightly tart.
The taste starts off with the banana but then transitions to an odd bitterness. Unripe pineapple perhaps? The wheat base is light.
Light to moderate feel on the palate with fizzy carbonation. Lacks that nice smooth texture that a hefe brings. Odd mix of sweet and bitter. Finishes with a lemony twang.
The yeast doesn't seem to bring out enough of the phenol flavors. I believe banana and pineapples were added to the brew. The pineapple seems to counteract against the yeast and neutralizes it
