Tap pour at Bear’s House, Toulouse, FR, during le Detour Tap Take Over.
Fresh, cold, short foam, clear gold.
It’s the brewery’s homage to the beautiful city of Seattle, called with affection "rain city”.
Nose is piney and a bit skunky.
The combo of Colombus, Ekuanot, Citra and Simcoe work, but there’s a void in the midst that feels unfocused. I was promised dankness, but little emerges.
Mouth is crisp, medium carbonation.
Overall, this try at an American WCIPA just misses the mark. Good, not memorable.
