From the flip top growler via the brewery in a snifter, and special thanks to
Bluejacket74 and Laura for showing us this fine establishment! This great ale
pours a dark red tinged mahogany with a nice head of off white foam that
settles to a thick ring, thick clumping pool, and shows excellent lacing. Nose
of mild smoked malts, brown sugars, subtle floral notes, light peach and cherry
touches, and faint booze. Flavors hit the WOW factor with a near perfect
brown sugar drenched mildly smoked touched malt with stone fruit notes
of peach, apricot, and cherry given a dusting of floral hop notes. Very
nice mouth feel; medium body, smooth as silk, light carbonation, and
a rich warming finish that is subtly dry.
Overall a flat out FANTASTIC brew from a great brewery!
Cheers
