Gally's Brewing

its cool that so many of these little remote towns in montana have their own breweries, and even cooler that towns like this can support them. this place is awesome, feels like an old west town, and the brewery is obviously in a building that was built a very long time ago and used to be something else. its sort of grand and tired at the same time, endearing, nicely turned into a taproom inside, with the bar across the back, the little brew house visible in behind it, lots of natural light, wood features, thoughtful but minimal, i dig it. they have a decent selection of stuff on, and some good creativity to it too, i had a red ipa with montana malt and hops, and a watermelon blonde that tasted quite natural, both solid, neither epic, but the quality here is higher than a lot of other places i have been to in the state, and i respect what they have going on. getting a fresh and unique beer out here is not something to take for granted! the service was excellent too, friendly and welcoming and informed, nice to have that in a place like this. these guys seem to be the only show in town, obviously evolving the beer scene here pretty far, and it was a great spot for a couple of afternoon beers. itd be easy to miss this place, but it would be a mistake...
