Paris 4/4 2026. 33 cl bottle from MonoPrix, Rue la Boëtie, Paris 8e. As Cocomiette Biére IPA au Pain. A hummingbird and a sleeping woman on the label.
Pours unclear golden yellow with a mid-sized white head. Stable. Settles as a thin but unbroken layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with a sharp scent of citrus fruit. Caramel and bread. Citrus and lime.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is lightly bitter with a noticeable sweet undertone. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry.
I do respect the concept of using leftover bread for beer-production. But in this case it is too much bread and too few hops.
