A 330ml bottle with a best before date of 21st January 2020. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass.

Appearance: Dark dark brown to black in colour with a two finger beige head that had good retention and left lots of nice lacing.

Aroma: Light to moderate roast, coffee, piney hops, and lightly citrusy and floral.

Taste: What you’d expect from the aromas, light roasted malts, cocoa, coffee, piney hops, citrusy grapefruit and a touch floral.

Mouthfeel: Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation.

Overall: A nice Black IPA with a good balance between the roastiness, piney hops and citrus.

Dark brown with only a hair of amber tinge when held to the light. Topped with 2 fingers of deep tan head.

Smells of jelly fruits, pine, coffee, chocolate and lemons.

The taste is very aromatic like perfume and flower blossoms, hints of strawberry, orange jam and pine.

Medium to thick, frothy body with smooth carbonation.

Got this in Chiang Mai at a pub, drinking it here June 9th, 2019 in my house. Very well done, even for the style, and one of the best Thai brews I've had.

330ml bottle poured into a teku glass.

Pitch black in color with lots of sediments, the pour builds up thick creamy khaki head that very well retains with good retention before slowly collapsing to a long-lasting bubble sheet atop and leaving lots of lacing patch and spot.

Roasted coffee leads through the aroma. It is kind of black coffee together with roasted malt, subtle caramel, and bread. Hop participates with its bold grassiness and crisp citrus.

The taste is very well harmonized with roasted malt and black coffee in the front that also provides some sourness. Hop in the middle layer providing notes of grass, earth, and citrus while sea salt makes a quick flash at the back palate with its mild salty spice and bite. Bitterness is of course there mainly from roasted coffee and not too subtle from hop.

Medium body with some chewy touch to increase the mouthfeel, the feeling is smooth and well-rounded with moderately crisp carbonation. Finish is pleasantly dry.

This should be a household beer. A Black IPA with great balance and simply get to the right point. So good.
