Panama, third track from Van Halen's sixth album titled 1984. Loved this song and this album growing up. Golden yellow in color with excellent clarity. Poured with a tall, soapy, bright white foam with good retention. Citrus and herbal hop aromas with notes of over-ripe pineapple, malt and earthy pine. Medium bodied with medium carbonation with light smooth feel through the middle. Herbal and citrus flavors followed by assertive medium piney hop bitterness. Medium malty flavors throughout. Pine hop character continues on the back end with citrus and pineapple notes on the edges. Finished semi-dryly with light citrus and malt notes followed by mellow pine bitterness that slowly tapers. Fantastic look and hop character. Solid malt backbone balances the hop bitterness. A tasty, refreshing, old school pale ale.
