This one came from Ocean Grove Cellars in March 2025, and was drunk a week later.
It's hazy but bright pineapple-yellow, with an initially enormous head quickly subsiding to a smattering of bright whiteness covering the top of the beer. No carbonation can be seen in the glass.
The nose is juicy peaches, lime, and the usual hodgepodge assortment of tropical and citrus notes. There's maybe the slightest touch of alcohol on the nose, too.
The taste is juicy stone fruit with the slightest touch of dank, hoppy citrus. Retronasally, there's citrus-laden shampoo, which almost but not quite touches grapefruit, but leaving that soapy, diesely aftertaste. There's clear and present hopburn after the swallow, which lingers in the chest and throat.
The beer's body is quite full and luxurious; carbonation is medium and sherbety. That diesel note from earlier gives the body a bit of a harsh touch, especially on the swallow.
Overall, this is a nice beer, but it strays just over that shampoo line that hazy beers can cross sometimes, making it less enjoyable than it would otherwise be.
