The Road Warrior returns! But we have tweaked the recipe for this batch. An addition of caraaroma malt has added some more colour into the mix along with some more malt sweetness. The hop profile has been tweaked as well, Aussie hops are still the centre piece, but this time we have used a cool whirlpool to lock in more aromatics and brought Strata along for the ride for some extra dank!

Purchased from Ocean Grove Cellars in March 2025 and drank a couple of weeks later.
L: Amber yellow with a thin smattering of white head. No carbonation is seen in the glass.
S: Rich caramel malt and dank, weedy nectarine and papaya. It's a classic but modern West Coast aroma.
T: Strong, tangy malt body providing the base for a bowl of nectarines, with a dank grapefruit peel side note. Bitterness is medium to high. The finish is sweet, long, and has a touch of soda at the back end. Overall, the taste is an example of a modern Westie making great use of tropical and stone fruit hops.
M: The body is quite sherbety and spritzy, with a high level of carbonation doubling down on that sensation on the swallow. There's some hop burn - or maybe it's the booze - but whatever it is, there's heat in the throat and gullet after the swallow.
O: Loving this after a hot day. Classic west coast with a modern twist.
Cheers!
