Hazy straw to gold color. Small but lasting head that leaves a near blanket of lace throughout the tasting.
The smell features citrus rind, light pine, and a touch of advertised pineapple.
Dry start which becomes dryer and nearly astringent by the swallow. The body and carbonation are within the norms for the style. The finish is hop-pellet bitter but never extreme. This creates a longer aftertaste that's similar to an IPA.

Nose musty dank tropical fruit, citrus, passion fruit, dank pineapple, little herbal
Taste caramelized candied pineapple, dank tropical, passion fruit, mild spicy herbal green hop, light cereal malt
Mouth is med bod, lighter carb, soft creamy

Pours mostly clear medium orange color with a very thin biscuit head. Not terribly exciting. The aroma is a mix of pale malt, some faint musty-citrus hops (amarillo) and a touch of chemical sharpness. Hmm. The can says it has pineapple added but i get no sweetness on the nose. In fact I get none from the flavor which is highly bitter with some malt flavor peeking through. Feel is crisp and medium to light bodied - expected for a pale ale. Bitterness is wrecking it.
Ok, I need to stop here as I don't understand this beer. It is not enjoyable at all to me. I hope this is just a case of old shelf life. It was gifted by a friend though we live near the brewery. Can't find a brew date on the can. Sorry YBBC, but I can't in good conscience rate this kindly.
