Honey Wheat derives its Honey character from a specially crafted malt. Which means no bees were used in the production of this beer. Billowing wheat malt with subtle notes of honey and almost imperceptible hopping make this a deliciously satisfying beer.

On tap at the brewpub in Grants Pass OR. 4.5% ABV

Pour was very pale golden, clear with a very good head and lacing.

Aroma: lightly sweet baked bread.

Flavor: mild noble hops become more obvious in the lingering finish and aftertaste.

Feel: lively carbonation goes well with the light body. Semi-dry.

O: very nice version of style with a light bump up on the hops.

This wheat beer is mostly clear with a slight haze of yeast. It is a polished gold color and pours headless. The aroma is dry, grainy, and very distant.

After experiencing true excellence in Wild River’s draught beers and repeated disappointment in their bottled beers, I was pleased to have a bottle of anything that wasn’t overtly foul. The honey wheat features a restrained malt profile with a light bitter finish. This is a simple lawnmower ale of modest dimensions, but still a clean and drinkable thirst quencher with just a kiss of honey.
