12 oz. shaker glass on draught at their Grant's Pass location,Wild River's Mai Bock is a chill hazed dark gold with lots of streamers forming a thing white skim that leaves medium-heavy lace. Made with German Munich and Crystal malts and Spalter hops, 1.069 OG. I don't believe there's not honey in this beer!

Smell was very soft, pure honey sweetness that seems thick and sticky.

Taste is pretty boozy, though light on the fusels, with plenty of honey, some noble hop spice and a bitter finish. Overall, fairly neutral, other then the alcohol, it just tastes like a strong larger with honey.

MF is in fact on the thicker side, but somewhat saved by a crisp dry finish.

Drinkability is fine, as it's really not very full flavored, but too boozy and lacking depth.
