Color was of pale wheat, with a foamy head. Looked and smelled like a German Weisbier. Although the taste was pleasant and smooth, it lacked the wheat taste in the finish. It reminded me of a cross between an American and German style Hefe-weisen. Tried it later, tasted more in the German style.

From a 12 oz bottle purchased directly from the brewpub, we found this to pour a light clear yellow, with bubbly head. Nose of citrus and not much else noticeable. Thin and kind of watery mouthfeel. Flavor is of very light malts. Dry finish. Overall a very bland beer.

Traditional, though not so densely clouded, Wild River’s Hefe is light bodied and pale yellow with a fair showing of lace. It is crisp, clean tasting, and tart. Served with the customary wedge of lemon, it is fair flavored overall, though of modest dimensions.
