Poured into a BrewDog snifter.
A: Body is dark and thick showing a little head only when forced but with a deep, rich, toasted coloration.
S: The aroma is very fresh and sweet with a big vanilla profile, some milky tones, with milk chocolate a round chocolaty profile.
T: Taste starts off very sweet with milk, chocolate, vanilla and sweetness from coffee and malts. It then moves abruptly to a more aggressive tone towards the end with a very high bitterness that's both bearable and enticing. The end could be a lot more softer to create a more pleasant finish.
M: Body is high. Carbonation is spot on. Sweetness is high, bitterness is harsh at the end of the sip and there's a lot of alcohol burn.
O: Overal, this is a pretty good "dessert" stout. Not unforgettable but quite good indeed. Would just improve the depth and harshness of the bitter tones along with the alcohol burn that when paired with that bitterness creates a somewhat unpleasant finish. That said, I'd have it again.
