16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 2/10/2020. Pours lightly hazy deep reddish orange/amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy light pink head with good retention, that reduces to a thin spotty lace cap that lingers. Light spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big sour/tart/tangy raspberry, blackberry, fruit skin/seed, peach, lemon, lime, pear, melon, apricot, red/green apple, red grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, wheat, white bread, light pepper/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of boysenberry, peach, fruity/acidic yeast, and moderate pale/wheat malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big sour/tart/tangy raspberry, blackberry, fruit skin/seed, peach, lemon, lime, pear, melon, apricot, red/green apple, red grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, wheat, white bread, light pepper/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tart/sourness, fruit tang, and light spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of sour/tart/tangy raspberry, blackberry, fruit skin/seed, peach, lemon, lime, pear, melon, apricot, red/green apple, red grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, wheat, white bread, light pepper/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of boysenberry, peach, fruity/acidic yeast, and moderate pale/wheat flavors; with a fantastic malt/sour/tart/tangy balance, and no puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering sour/tart/tang and carbonation. Medium-plus carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/grainy/acidic/tangy, and fairly tannic balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Minimal warming alcohol for 10%. Overall this is an excellent imperial fruited Berliner weisse. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of boysenberry, peach, fruity/acidic yeast, and moderate pale/wheat flavors; dangerously smooth and fairly crisp/refreshing to drink with the modestly acidic/tangy/tannic/drying finish; not overly lactic. Awesome balance of juicy/fairly jammy fruit and lacto complexity; with a nice pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and impressive spot on base style example. Not overwhelming on any aspect. Tastes a lot lighter than you'd expect given the 10% ABV.
