A true to style West Coast IPA, that features all the heavy hitters: Mosaic, Citra, Simcoe, and Strata. Flavors of candied fruit, melon, and berries are cascading through those sudsy bubbles with each sip.

I don’t know. I don’t care. Does she wear purple underwear? Thoughts to be had. Sights to be seen. Is this girl even clean? Whoa, now. Whoa, Raul. But the reason Raul is lost in wonder is because after his first sip of Raceway, his throttle didn’t go ‘vrooom!’ Said beer just didn’t take me “there.” That said, with the existence of time, as I kept sipping tha thang, things got a bit better. Not world class like Paul Newman riding in a speed boat on his way to the Venice Film Festival. But think of Paul back at home in California frying his Sunday eggs. That’ll do.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with a fine, three finger white head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of pale malt, citrus and tropical fruit hops, lemon, grapefruit, overripe tropical fruit and a little dankness. Flavor is citrus and fruit hops, green melon, lime, vague mixed fruit, catty dankness and a little green onion. Moderate hop bitterness at first, but tapers off in the finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. No date on the can, but still listed on the website, so not sure if there is some drop off of the herbal hop flavors. Hops a bit muddled and on the dank/tropical fruit side of the West Coast spectrum. Bitterness is low for that style, but just enough to keep my interest with somewhat of a dank fruit juice aftertaste. I'd guess that Mosaic is the dominant hop here; not much clear Citra or Simcoe character. Satisfactory, but not a standout.
