Can from Bert's Brilliant clarity deep golden color bordering on amber. Two finger bubbly white head persists. Rich bready toasty maltiness with bits of citrus and pine. Old school tasty IPA, not for the haze bros.

The color is that of an orange and golden sunset, but opaque and murky like my soul. White foam cap seems to spread out fast, minimal coverage.
A thickly sweet hop smell is overwhelming. Strawberries and caramel scented malt is intense and a bit odd. Pineapple, mango chutney and caramel drizzle, no fizzle in the nose.
The flavor has multiple layers of hoppiness. One: pine and sour apples Two: dried leaves and tangy citrus Three: ... No just two.
The malt is crisp and dry at first, with wheat, grasses and herbs but gets a bit heady and dense with caramel slickness in the middle. Bitter pine, smooth malt texture and then thickly settled golden grains.
I would call it New England Style (NEIPA) hazed and thick golden looks but with more pine and high alpha bitterness and still showcasing some of that "pithy" fruitiness. Malt is too heavy... Maybe "oily" is better... To describe it?!
All and all, too interesting to hate, and too odd to love. Love Hate Love for all you old ass Alice in Chains fans. (like me)
