From the 12 oz can in a snifter. This solid "blonde" stout
pours a dark, red tinged amber with a nice head of white foam
that subsides to a thick ring, thin light layer, and sports some
faint lacing. Nose of rich coffee, dark cocoa, light vanilla, and
sweet toffee. Flavors are more than well represented with
cocoa and dark coffee mingling in a lightly nutty toffee and
caramel malt with a touch of cream. Excellent mouth feel;
medium full body, smooth, creamy, soft carbonation, and
a sweet yet balanced finish.
Overall,only ding is on the look for being a blonde stout,
other than that it is an easy thing to overlook when the flavors
are that good.
I keep getting impressed with this brewery!
Cheers
