From the 12 oz can in a snifter. This solid little brew pours a red tinged,
clear, mahogany with a decent head of white foam that settles to a
thin ring, light clumping layer, and sports some faint lacing. Nose of
brown sugars, white raisins, candy sugars, brown sugar, yeast touched
esters, light breaded notes, and astringent booze. Flavors are exceptional
for such a young brewery! Candy sugars, brown sugars, herbal hops,
white raisins, faint tart cherry, light banana, touches of coriander and
Belgian spice hints. Very nice mouth feel; medium body, smooth as
all get out, moderately warming, and finishing sweet without being
overly cloying.
Overall.....excellence from the Highgrain folks who continue to impress
with great brews.
Dear Highgrain.....PLEASE....DO NOT CHANGE! With some other breweries
now gone in Cincy you are quickly becoming the best in town! Keep up the
good work!
Cheers
