A full-bodied lager that pours ruby & amber color with a creamy head. Designed to celebrate the end of Winter, this beer brings some needed warmth and has flavorful notes of ripe bananas, plums and licorice.

16 ounce pint - Norwood Cappy's in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Appearance: Tawny, amber-hued body, clouded with a medium-sized albeit brief off-white head. Good lacing on the way down.
Smell: Toasted wheat bread, mild notes of caramelized sugar. Middling clove, mild banana character, hint of spent chewing gum.
Taste: Toasted breadcrust brushed with caramel creme. Some fruitiness - touch of raisin, banana. Phenolic touches of clove, peppercorn. Subtle herbal twang. Drying on the back half with some hint of used chiclets, a little bit of alcohol showing.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied (a little fluffy mouthfeel). Medium-plus carbonation.
Overall: Not bad.

Always love a weisenbock!
Had this beer from tap at the brewery. Murky orange brown color with nice foamy head and good curtain lacing. Wonderful banana clove smell and taste. Cinnamon and earthy smoke. Pleasantly sweet. Going to see if they have cans to go.

From the 12 oz can in a snifter. This SOLID little bock pours a
red tinged amber with a nice head of white foam that settles to
a thick ring, thin dusty layer, and sports faint lacing. Nose of
brown sugars, dried fruits, banana notes, and subtle breaded
malt touches. Flavors follow nicely with dried fruit note of
raisin and plum, banana notes, subtle herbal notes of hops,
dark bread crust touches, and brown sugars. Mouth feel
is medium, light carbonation, and smooth but a touch on the
thin side with a lightly dry finish.
Overall, a solid little brew
Cheers

6-pack from the brewery
Just as advertised, but I didn't get the creamy head :-(
Another great traditional beer from a brewery that knows how to do it!
