From the 12 oz can in a snifter. This interesting brew pours a pitch black
with a very nice head of brown foam that settles to a thick ring and layer
with exceptional lacing. Nose of dark coffee, dark cocoa, rich char, and
strong herbal hop notes. Flavors lightly exceed the nose with dark coffee,
dark bakers cocoa, char, deep roast, brewers licorice, and herbal hops.
Nice mouth feel; medium full verging on full body, smooth, coating, light
carbonation, and a bitter malt finish.

Overall---a solid brew labeled as an export stout but one I would peg as more
American than anything.
