From the 12 oz can in a snifter. This unique brew pours a nice chill hazed deep
amber with a nice head of white foam that settles to a thick ring, thin clumping
layer, and sports some nice lacing. Nose of heavy cardamom, star anise, and
cinnamon dashed with clove and caramel malts. Flavors follow the nose with
some exceptions. Star anise and cardamom present a strong start to a honey
and caramel background loaded with cinnamon, heavy herbal coriander, and
layers of fennel...a very herbal brew. Mouth feel is medium, medium high
carbonation, and finishing herbal, lightly sweet, and medium dry.
Overall, this is unique but a touch over the top on the spice notes.
