From the 12 oz can in a snifer via the brewery on Maul Days tapping.
This solid imperial pours a muddled brownish black with a moderate head of
khaki foam that sizzles to a thin ring with light lacing and nice legs. Nose of bourbon,
cream, brulee, rich vanilla, dark cocoa, and subtle oak. Flavors surpass the nose
with a fine presentation of rich earthy vanilla, toffee, moderate char, bourbon, oak,
dark cocoa, dark coffee, and dark fruit notes. Mouth feel is full, moderately slick, rich,
warming, light carbonation, smooth, and finishing moderately sweet and subtly dry.
Overall, a solid entrance in the Maul family.
Cheers
