From the 12 oz can in a snifter via Maul Days at the brewery. This solid
imperial pours a dark blackish brown with dark tea highlights and a moderate
head of khaki foam that settles to a thick ring with subtle lacing and decent legs.
Nose of toasted marshmallow, vanilla, subtle graham, char, bourbon, and dark chocolate.
Flavors follow the nose with some exceptions with dark chocolate, vanilla, cream, moderate
dark coffee, char, brulee, marshmallow, bourbon, faint oak, and earthy malts. Mouth
feel is full, smooth, rich, warming, coating, light carbonation, and finishing on the
sweet side without being overly cloying and faintly dry.
Overall, a solid entrance into the Maul hall of fame.
Cheers
