From the 12 oz can in a snifter. This monster pours a rich obsidian with
a moderate had of tan foam that sizzles to a thick ring, thin dusty layer, and
displays some subtle lacing and decent legs. Nose of rich bourbon, rich chocolate,
pistachio nuts, subtle salinity, deep roast, dark coffee notes, brulee, and rich vanilla.
Flavors knock it out of the park with pistachio and bourbon to the fore, subtle oak,
brulee, dark chocolate throughout, rich vanilla, subtle char, deep roast, dark
coffee, and subtle salt notes. Mouth feel is full, smooth, rich, coating, warming,
light carbonation, and finishing sweeter than standard maul with a nice bitter
malt and chocolate finish that is subtly dry.
Overall, a solid dessert brew from one of Cincinnati's best breweries!
Cheers
