A classic brown American. Full body taste, thick head and lightly hopped for a smooth semi-dry finish. Unique combination of roasted barley, chocolate, and crystal malts. Our most requested ale. It ain't for poodles!!

Bomber bottle, with cartoon dog holding a beer mug. This is under the label of Kelleys Island Brewery. This poured a deep chestnut liquid, with ruby highlights. A nice tan creamy head rose up, but did not stay nearly long enough. Not much lace on the glass either. Nice light roast smell, maybe combined with a hint of chocolate. Nice roasty flavor, with very little bitterness. Slightly metallic aftertaste. Medium body, but still feels a little thin. Moderate carbonation. This is a tasty beer. Good roast flavors, but not much in the way of hops. The label says Brown American Ale, but not enough hops for that. Anyway, this is pretty easy to drink, and while not outstanding, pretty decent.

Mocha under a sticky tan.
Aromas of pumpernickel toast covered in Nutella.
Hazelnuts and chocolate up front. The chocolate lingers and melds with a mild but well-stated roastedness. Turns lightly woody with a nutty return. Milky, but not sour. Suggestions of oats. Hopping is of limited notice. Chocolate is the star here.
Served at cellar temp, resulting is a brew that could be mistaken for cask-drawn. Fuller than medium with limited carbonation.
A choice Brown Ale. Far and away their best offering.
