DATE: December 27, 2020... OCCASION: a good Christmas weekend (despite the absence of Bob and Dad due to quarantine and rehab) is capped with another of Chilton Mill's IPA offerings... GLASSWARE: Lindemans tulip pokal... pours a hazy burnt orange body, bubbling with life and a swiftly-settling white head that crackles and crags into uneven soapiness.... its ring is a reasonable halo... its tartness cannot be overstated: papaya, grapefruit, orange juice, clementine, and lime--probably some other citrus fruits I am unfamiliar with in here too... promises to be puckering, hence its name; no discernable malts in the aroma--indeed, this "seat" has but one love--a citrus ambition with a hint of pine and flowers.... its first sip belies its flavor, easy and acidic as orange juice, with a busy entrance and a lasting warmth on its back end... puckering as expected, this kicks with tangerine, orange, clementine, and marmalade... boozy in its own way, it gives back some of its intensity with a mimosa-like appreciation.... its juiciness pulls at the salivary glands, a dessert cocktail akin to a fruit cup... bursting with citrus, this makes for a one-dimensional ride that is worth seeking out... not sure what it means that CM's Couples Retreat is a bit more robust and worthwhile than its L
