2023 Vintage. Poured a golden straw, (color of light apple juice,) into a Samuel Smith imperial pint glass with good clarity, a white rocky foam that never settled down to a cap, visible carbonation from start to finish and a fair amount of uneven lacing down the side of the glass. Aromas of lemon peel, Belgian esters, bread, candied fruit and spiciness are forward with some pine, light malt and stone fruit sitting in the background. Flavor is of apple, pear, peach, pineapple, honey and pale malt with a nice level of hop presence and a semi-dry bitter finish. 11% ABV is very well hidden in this light to medium bodied brew. A very enjoyable brew that has good complexity, structure and is very drinkable.
