FROM THE BREWERY'S WEBSITE: Extended lager fermentation brings depth and balance, resulting in a complex yet surprisingly smooth and drinkable Doppelbock. Deep garnet in color, Choltonator delivers a rich, malty backbone while gentle chocolate notes melt into dark fruit flavors.

DATE: February 15, 2026... OCCASION: Olympics watching again with a beer whose brewing signals the upcoming Lenten season... and maybe spring? GLASSWARE: Celebrator Doppelbock pokal... pours a dark mahogany brown/black body with a beige head that simmers to a bubbling ring at the glass and a smear throughout... rich chocolate, roasted malts, confectioner's sugar, toffee, and light nuttiness... no trait stands out, but together, they combine for a welcoming aroma... the mouthfeel is balanced, a medium-full weight with subtle warmth and smooth milkiness... a highly drinkable beer, especially given its ABV... chocolate is rich indeed, while the bread malts and sugars make for a sweet, agreeable experience... this sits well within its style, a hearty, formidable winter offering...
