Poured from a bottle (11Mar2020) into a Belgian glass
L: incredibly vibrant, dark jammy purple/red. Lighter matching color on the head, decent size. Some lacing to begin, fades with the head. Quite effervescent to start, still calmly bubbling away after 10+ minutes
S: light aroma, led by this sweet and slightly tart black raspberry note. A clean, inviting nose certainly more restrained and inviting
T: think this is where this beer really shines. Like a peach Floodland beer I had a few years ago (Firmament and Light I think?) this delivers that experience of truly eating a piece of fruit. Opens slightly tart and acidic, and then flows beautifully to this earthier flavor before again this sweeter black raspberry juice/flesh note. Medium long finish with really nice lingering acidity
F: light mouthfeel, medium/high carbonation, nice acidity very pleasantly drying
O: a fantastic fruited ale that really lets the black raspberries shine
